Turkish website Fotospor claim Celtic are showing an interest in Besiktas defender Dusko Tosic.
The former Queens Park Rangers defender has also been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur in recent weeks, with reports the London side are ready to offer €8m for the 32-year old.
It’s been reported Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers is keen to strengthen his defence in January, and is targeting the versatile Serbia international.
It’s likely Tosic would be brought to Celtic Park to compete with Jozo Šimunović, Erik Sviatchenko and Dedryck Boyata for the central defensive positions, but also provide cover for Kieran Tierney at left back.
Fotospor say Celtic are planning an offer of €3m for the 32 year old, which is €5m less than what Tottenham are supposedly looking to bid.
We recently covered reports from Turkey that Tosic is a surprise target for Tottenham, especially given the options the Premier League side have in defence.
Tosic has impressed for Besiktas this season, especially in the Champions League. However, with the expected arrival of Croatia international Domagoj Vida his place could be under threat with the Turkish champions.
