Celtic FC Women have reached an agreement for the transfer of Ana Marcos, according to reports from Spain today.
Outlet AS says there’s a deal with Atletico Madrid so the player can spend a loan spell at the Glasgow side until the end of the season.
It’s claimed that the La Liga club still count on Ana Marcos for the future, and are only letting her go for now due to the competition in their squad, since they have the likes of Ludmila, Toni Duggan and Charlyn for the position.
A good reason to believe they want her back is that Ana Marcos has recently signed a new deal with the Colchoneros, extending her contract until 2022.
The 19-year-old only had a total of 41 minutes in six appearances for Atletico Madrid this season, and that’s what they’ve been worried about. Now they expect her to have good development in the Scottish league with Celtic FC Women.
