Marca don’t go softly on Sunday with their opinion on how Sandro Ramirez’s move to Everton has worked out.
After a season in which he seriously impressed with Malaga, Sandro wasn’t short of interest from other clubs. The Spanish newspaper point out that Atletico Madrid wanted to sign the player, asking him to wait at Malaga until the January transfer window, and end of their registration ban.
At the time Sandro was a genuine possibility for Spain’s World Cup squad, but his move to Everton has seen that now pushed out to being a distant dream. That’s one of the reasons Marca call the Everton transfer ‘catastrophic’.
Malaga are ‘yearning’ to take him back but finances are an issue, and Valencia interest is of course mentioned again.
Whilst Valencia haven’t struggled for goals this season, it’s felt they need more strength in depth, something which signing Sandro from Everton would bring.
There’s no great leap forward on this right now and hasn’t been for a few weeks, but Sandro’s time at Everton should be as brief as it has been poor, believe Marca.
