Portuguese newspaper Record brings today a quite interesting story on Swansea City’s interest in the Sporting midfielder João Palhinha.

The outlet claims manager Carlos Carvalhal has been thinking about the signing, as this is a name who pleases him.

And the good thing for Swansea is that even though an official offer hasn’t been made yet, the possibility to join the Premier League side is something the midfielder likes.

The 22-year-old is currently unhappy with his little game time and a change in the January window is something he would fancy.

Newspaper O Jogo also has a short story on the player today.

They actually claim that with Radosav Petrovic’s move to Deportivo La Coruña collapsing, it’s more likely that Palhinha will be able to move at the end of the transfer window.

It’s said that clubs from Spain, France and England (we’d include Wales in that) all have interest in Pallhinha, and Sporting are waiting for bids in the next few days. The club’s idea is to loan him out demanding a €500k fee, with his new club paying his full wages.
