Real Betis midfielder Víctor Camarasa did not feature regularly in the league last season as he played only 1253 minutes across 24 appearances, but he’s still attracting interest from ‘many teams’.
Marca now claims Cardiff City and Celta Vigo wanted to sign the 24-year-old in the summer transfer window. However, the player rejected the opportunity to join Antonio Mohamed’s side and his response was always negative.
Neil Warnock guided the Welsh club to promotion to the Premier League and his side are now ‘trying by all means to convince’ Camarasa to make a switch to the Cardiff City Stadium because they are aware the player isn’t keen on leaving his current employer.
Betis have signed Sergio Canales and Takashi Inui in this window and Cardiff have already tried to convey the message to Camarasa that he may not have a leading role at the club after the two new additions. The argument is he’d have more time at Cardiff.
It remains to be seen whether the Welsh club will be able to convince both the midfielder and Betis to sanction the transfer with less than two days left in the window.
