Cardiff City forward Lex Immers has told the Dutch media he would like to one day return to ADO Den Haag. There have been rumours in recent weeks Immers could return to the Netherlands to play for his former club.
Speaking to Omroepwest, Immers was asked if he considered coming back to play for Ado Den Haag. Immers admitted one day he would like to play for the Dutch side again, but believes it is too early in his career to do this. The forward revealed he and his family are happy in South Wales, and therefore he’s likely to see out his two-year contract.
“Someday I will return to ADO Den Haag, but now it is much too early. I’m enjoying myself, my family is liking it, so there is no reason to leave. Last summer I signed a two-year contract with Cardiff City,” said the footballer.
Last month we covered comments former Swansea City director John van Zweden made on social media in which he told Cardiff City forward Lex Immers to quit the Championship side, and re-sign for his former club ADO Den Haag.
Immers has never hidden from the fact he still has a lot of affection for ADO Den Haag after coming through their youth system, before progressing to the senior team.
