L’Equipe on Thursday reported that Cardiff City are working on two deals for OGC Nice’s Adrien Tameze and Almamy Toure of AS Monaco.
It was explained that Tameze ‘could sign in the coming hours’ for the Bluebirds.
Friday’s edition of the same newspaper brings an update on the duo’s chances of moving to the Cardiff City Stadium this month and also on the Premier League club’s links with Toulouse defender Kelvin Amian.
Regarding Toure, he’s made only four starts in the league for Les Monégasques and it’ claimed that Neil Warnock’s side are planning to attract the 22-year-old defender to join them.
Moving on to Tameze, the report says there is strong interest from the Welsh outfit and they even formulated a €9m offer to satisfy Nice to sanction his sale. However, the club and player rejected Cardiff’s proposal.
Amian operates on the right side of defence and L’Equipe claims Cardiff are planning to formulate an offer of €5m plus €3m in bonus for him via an English agent.
It’s mentioned the prospective offer was pushed back by Toulouse and the 20-year-old fullback has no plans of leaving his current employer this month.
With Tamezze and Amian both deciding against leaving their respective clubs in the winter market, the possibility of signing Toure is the only option left for Cardiff from the trio.
