Having lost Antonio Valencia on a free transfer and with uncertainty around Matteo Darmian’s Old Trafford future, Manchester United strengthened the right-back position by signing Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace.
He was the Red Devils’ second signing of this summer after Daniel James, who arrived at the club from Swansea City.
The 20-time English champions have seen several players leave in recent months, and it was thought they’d have brought more in than they have so far.
Wan-Bissaka’s deal was completed at the end of last month and since then, there’s been inactivity, both in terms of incomings and outgoings.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer spoke to Norway’s TV2 and was asked if he’s annoyed by rumours linking many players to Manchester United.
He said: “I cannot say so much other than that we have a good squad now. The ones we have here are a good team.”
“So, we see all the time if we can get better. A lot is written and we have perhaps been linked to 150 players this summer. But it can happen, one or two transfers, both in and out, it can still happen.”
Multiple reports in the British press have also suggested United are looking to bring in a centre-back and a midfielder.
It remains to be seen which one or two players will be allowed to leave.
