William Saliba was supposed to become an Arsenal player last week, and Dani Ceballos was supposed to be presented on Wednesday, according to various claims from the European media.
Whilst there doesn’t appear to be anything to worry about, Arsenal fans would surely prefer the deals just get done and announced as soon as possible… like today, hopefully.
Thursday’s edition of L’Equipe reports the Saliba drama ‘should end today’, with the Saint Etienne defender’s transfer to Arsenal being completed.
The French newspaper states the 19 year old flew to London on Tuesday to sign his contract with the Premier League club. Arsenal will be paying a transfer fee of around €29m, and Saliba will return to the Ligue 1 club on loan for a season.
Tottenham have been heavily linked to both Ceballos and Saliba, which gives even more reason for the Gunners to get these transfers over the line sooner rather than later.Thursday could be an exciting day for Arsenal.
