Unfortunately for everyone, Mathias Pogba won’t shut up about his brother, Manchester United midfielder Paul, who is currently recovering from ankle surgery he underwent on January 7th.
He continues to be a guest on El Chiringuito on the channel Mega in Spain, and every time he appears, the presenter, Josep Pedrerol, always finds a way to ask him about the chances of the Old Trafford star moving to Real Madrid.
This week’s topic of discussion was whether or not his brother would be able to cohabit at the Santiago Bernabéu with new fan favourite Federico Valverde, who won the hearts of the Spanish side’s supporters with his last ditch “tackle” on Alvaro Morata in the Supercopa final.
For older brother Mathias, there’s no issue.

Asked if Valverde’s rise to stardom could hurt Pogba’s chances of a move, he said: “No, he can help him, but he can’t compete with him. I don’t think so. Can the two play together? Yes.”
What a relief!
Perhaps this was exactly what Florentino Pérez, who recently quipped “I don’t know who Pogba is”, needed to hear to make the move Zinedine Zidane has been asking for since his return to management…
