Ajax star Mohamed Kudus has been urged to seal a move to Brighton and Hove Albion as soon as possible as it represents a golden opportunity for him.

That’s according to journalist Suleyman Ozturk, who believes the player could become a star for the Seagulls and then go on to secure a big move in future.

Kudus has been heavily linked with a move to Brighton this summer, with reports in England and the Netherlands claiming that they have an agreement in place with Ajax for a big move.

That deal is yet to be concluded, with reports since those initial claims making it clear that both Brighton and Ajax are putting deadlines on the player to make a decision on the potential switch.

He seems to be resisting for the time being, perhaps waiting for a bigger club than Brighton to enter into the mix and offer him something he considers more attractive.

That’s led to plenty of frustration for both clubs and it seems Ozturk too, who thinks the forward should be jumping at the opportunity to move to the South Coast this summer.

“I think it would be an ideal step. If you end up at Chelsea, you know you’ve seen this with Mykhailo Mudryk, that’s difficult because you have to beat three immediately to get a starting role,” he said.

“You’ve seen that with Madueke, the step is so incredibly big and there is so much choice that you quickly end up on the bench.

“But I think that at Brighton, with the qualities that he has, and we’ve seen in pre-season that he’s a special talent, under De Zerbi who gets the most out of players and will work with him and find a place for him in a dynamic team, then he can become a sensation.

“Brighton doesn’t evoke the same feeling in players as Chelsea does of course, they’re a top club and a lot more attractive, but if he chooses for his career and thinks ‘Gosh, I really want to get even better in two years and then make a step to the absolute top’, because he has the quality to do that, then Brighton is a golden opportunity for him.”
