Bruno Fernandes’ transfer to Manchester United is very close to being done, according to the Portuguese press.

It was first Correio da Manhã TV who reported that the player is moving to Old Trafford in a deal of €55m plus €25m in bonuses.

They can be very sensationalist, so we waited.

Then it was time for Record to publish a short story on their website, which is still being updated, saying the move is ‘practically done’.

Record  say the initial payment will be €55m, plus €10m in realistic bonuses, and €15m in harder ones.

TVI24, on their Mais Transferências show, say the transfer should be concluded in the ‘next few hours’. They confirm the same amount as CMTV, saying the bonuses include Premier League titles and the Ballon D’Or.

Rui Pedro Braz says €10m are easy to achieve and the other €15m he considers to be much harder. He also claims that Sporting are keeping 10% from the profit from a future sale.

He considers it to be a bad sale for Sporting, but says the Lisbon side need the money and are about to take the offer.

Diario de Noticias are now reporting the same, that an agreement has been reached at the figures above.

A Bola are also reporting an agreed deal, and saying Bruno Fernandes will be expected in England on Wednesday.

O Jogo say the player is set to travel to Manchester tomorrow.
