We thought the rumours about Alexis Mac Allister moving to Brighton in January were gone, but it seems they’re still going on in the Argentine media.
It’s TNT who claims the Seagulls are insisting in taking the midfielder in the middle of the season, cutting short his loan spell at Boca Juniors.
For the Premier League side to do that, they would pay the Argentine club compensation to break the loan contract.
TNT finishes the story wondering if Boca Juniors would accept an amount to let Mac Allister go now, since he’s considered to be a very important player for the squad this season.
In the past few weeks, we’ve covered several stories from Portugal about this, and most of them said Mac Allister is going nowhere now.
The only way Brighton had to take him in January was a clause allowing them to do so in case he hadn’t played a percentage of Boca Juniors’ matches. And since he’s been a regular starter at the club, this isn’t happening.
Perhaps the money from Brighton would help Boca change their mind, but they better make a good offer.
