Brighton & Hove Albion haven’t forgotten about Fiorentina winger Nicolas Gonzalez, according to the latest claims from Italy.
It’s TuttoMercatoWeb who today share a story on the 26-year-old’s future, reporting the Seagulls are set to return for his signing very soon.
The outlet recalls that Brighton previously tried to sign Gonzalez with a €27m offer, and that was turned down by Fiorentina, who had also declined €35m from Brentford.
Now as it’s said that the Seagulls will ‘try again’ in the summer, and the player’s valuation is said to be €50m.
It must also be pointed out that Gonzalez would need to approve the move to Brighton. That’s because he previously declined a change to Brentford, so being in the Premier League doesn’t seem enough of an argument to convince the winger to move.
Featuring for Fiorentina this season, the Argentine has ten goals and four assists in 34 appearances. TuttoMercatoWeb praises him for being the ‘most important player in the team’, saying that despite his few goals scored, his creativity has been of great help to the Serie A side.
