Brighton & Hove Albion have become the latest club credited with interest in signing Salernitana’s Lassana Coulibaly.
The midfielder has managed three goals and three assists from 35 games and was ‘one of the best midfielders’ at the Serie A side last season. His impressive displays have seen him receive interest from clubs in the UK and France.
That’s according to Tutto Salernitana, who name Brighton as one of the 27-year-old’s suitors.
AS Monaco and Marseille have asked about the Mali international in the past and the two Ligue 1 sides, as well as Nottingham Forest and Everton, could return for him in the next window.
These clubs must ‘keep an eye on’ Brighton as they are looking for a ‘dynamic’ all-rounder to fit into Roberto De Zerbi’s system at The Amex. It’s stated the Salernitana star has the profile and qualities of the ‘model midfielder desired’ by the Seagulls manager.
Therefore, it ‘cannot be excluded’ there could be something more than a survey from Brighton. In other words, De Zerbi’s side taking additional steps to sign Coulibaly in the summer cannot be ruled out.
