Valencia and Brighton & Hove Albion are ‘stepping up the hunt’ for Sebastian Andersson as both clubs are in a position to acquire his services this summer, according to Expressen.
The 28-year-old moved to Union Berlin in 2018 and he played a vital role in helping his side achieve promotion to the Bundesliga.
He has continued to impress this term as the forward has 12 goals and three assists in the league.
Graham Potter’s side sent their scouts to watch the Sweden international in action for the German club on several occasions this season, and it’s claimed the ‘main interest’ in the player comes from the Seagulls and the La Liga side.
In addition to this, the attacker and his agent are also aware of the interest from these two clubs.
According to the report, Valencia and Brighton are ready to ‘buy’ the player, who signed new contract in February.
The frontman’s current deal will keep him at the club until 2022 and Expressen state Union Berlin are demanding close to SEK 60m, which is around €5.7m, to sanction his transfer.
With both sides ready to meet his valuation, it’ll be interesting to see as to where the Union Berlin attacker will end up next season, if he decides to change clubs, of course.
