Brighton & Hove Albion are one of the clubs in the picture for Borussia Mönchengladbach’s Rocco Reitz.
That’s according to Sky Deutschland, and they cover Brighton’s interest and the 22-year-old’s immediate plans for the future.
The midfielder is a product of the Bundesliga side’s youth system and made his way into their senior team in 2020.
He had to wait until the start of last season to enjoy regular playing time and has made 14 appearances this season. Reitz’s performances have seen Brighton and Inter Milan take notice as Sky say they are keen.
At the start of this year, the German extended his deal until 2028. The report states the new contract includes a €20m release clause which won’t come into effect until the summer of 2026.
Although the price would be reasonable for the Seagulls, the buyout clause won’t be of much help for them in the upcoming windows.
Reitz, for his part, isn’t thinking about leaving Mönchengladbach in the winter market and his club have no plans to part ways with him anytime soon.
As well as Brighton and Inter, Manchester City are keen on signing the midfielder.
On Friday, Bild reported the Citizens’ interest is well known and they have to make a tempting offer to convince Gladbach to sell Reitz in January.
