Brighton & Hove Albion are reportedly in the race to sign Ghanian striker Raphael Dwanema in the next summer window.
The report comes from Italy, where website Calcio Mercato has a story describing Napoli’s chase for the 22-year-old.
When speaking of the competition the Italian club will face to sign the player, the outlet claims Brighton and Shakhtar Donestk would be both keen on him.
Dwanema’s price wouldn’t scare any of these sides, since his club FC Zurich would demand around €10m to let him go.
Calcio Mercato claims that Brighton were already keen on signing Dwanema last year, as they got ‘one step’ from finding a deal for him in the summer window.
The striker is FC Zurich’s top scorer this season, having ten goals and eight assists in 22 appearances so far. He signed for the club a year ago in a €600k deal, and should be worth a big profit for them soon.
