Brighton & Hove Albion and Burnley have emerged as suitors to sign Galatasaray’s Victor Nelsson.
Operating in the middle of defence, he’s been one of the ‘indispensables’ of manager Okan Buruk this season at the Turkish club.
The defender’s form seems to have convinced the English clubs to send scouts to follow him. That’s according to Takvim, who state both Brighton and Burnley have a strong interest in signing the 24-year-old.
Roberto De Zerbi’s side and the Clarets are pleased with the Denmark international and have made him their ‘favourite’ target.
Having already watched him in action, it’s claimed the two English clubs are preparing to knock on Galatasaray’s door for Nelsson after the end of this season.
The ‘final decision’ over the player’s future will be made at the end of this season, when Buruk is scheduled to meet the Galatasaray’s board. The manager had earlier insisted on retaining him but he’s now agreed to sanction his sale if there is an ‘attractive offer’.
Galatasaray are aiming to collect ‘more than €20m’ for Nelsson even though he has a €25m release clause in his contract that expires in 2026.
In other words, Brighton and Burnley could be able to sign Nelsson for a lower price.
