Brentford are moving for the signing of Valentin Carboni from Inter Milan, according to reports from Italy.
A big battle for the player is today revealed by FC Inter News, who claims several clubs have ‘come forward’ for his transfer in recent days.
Brentford are one of them, along with Fiorentina and another English club, although all of them are struggling with the price demanded by Inter Milan.
It’s said the Nerazzurri request around €25m for Carboni, and none of those clubs have ‘come close’ to that.
In Brentford’s case, it’s said they could go ‘as high as €18m’, but should still fall short of Inter’s demands, but is more than their Premier League competition, West Ham, who are stuck at €15m for now.
Those approaches were brought by Carboni’s new agent Alessandro Moggi, who went to the Nerazzurri’s headquarters to speak about all that interest.
The Serie A giants will remain calm, though, as long as none of those clubs come up with a bigger offer.
Carboni is currently having a loan spell at Monza, where he has two goals and three assists this season.
