Brentford are continuing attempts to add to their squad before the window closes on Friday.

They’ve been linked with a move for Fiorentina’s Michael Kayode and have have even made an offer for the player, but not enough to please La Viola at this stage.

It doesn’t seem as if Brentford have left their chase for the player, who hasn’t been a big part of Fiorentina’s first-team so far this season.

Corriere Fiorentino have reported on his situation today, stating that Brentford’s ‘sirens’ are very much still there for Kayode.

They believe that the English side have not given up. Brentford’s first offer had an option to buy him permanently but the outlet mention that the addition of an obligation to buy could change everything.

That step could essentially ‘force’ Fiorentina into selling Kayode and would make sure that they look at potential replacements, even if it is quite late in the window.

Kayode played 26 times in Serie A last season for Fiorentina in what was his first full campaign for the club.
