Brazilian outlet Globo Esporte has a big story on Andreas Pereira’s situation at Manchester United

They website recalls everything that happened since the player returned from his loan spell at Valencia last summer. From his impressive performances in preseason to being ignored by José Mourinho for much of the campaign.

There is also some information on the player’s wishes for the future, and that’s obviously the most interesting part of the article.

Globo Esporte mentions The Mirror’s story which said Pereira rejected a three-year renewal that would stop him from leaving for free in the summer, and claims to have confirmed the information.

According to the Brazilian outlet, Pereira’s agents are speaking to ‘several clubs’ and searching for ‘a more interesting opportunity’.  It’s claimed that the midfielder would accept a lower salary in case he finds a place where he can get more starts, with his big wish being to be called up by the national team.

It’s said that the most interesting offer for now is West Ham’s, especially because staying in England would be ‘the most interesting path’ for the player. Playing for bigger clubs in England and in Europe could attract the same problems as at Manchester United, so that’s not a priority. A move to Brazil is said to be ruled out.

Globo Esporte says that the player’s exit isn’t confirmed, but is ‘imminent’ in case he doesn’t get more chances before the end of the year.
