After Real Madrid’s defeat to Barcelona in El Clasico, Isco made his first start for the club during their 3-0 defeat to CKSA Moscow in December, which has been the only start for the midfielder under Santiago Solari.

Earlier this month, El Chiringuito (not the best) reported the 26-year-old is open to the idea of making a switch to Manchester City in January, if they submit an offer for him.

It was also mentioned the European champions are ready to part ways with the former Malaga star in the winter market.

Tuesday’s edition of Spanish newspaper AS provides an update on the latest developments regarding the Etihad outfit’s interest.

It’s claimed that Pep Guardiola has identified Isco as a priority target and has requested his employer make the signing.

Manchester City have communicated their interest to the player’s camp through an emissary and in recent hours, the midfielder has received this news.

The ex-Valencia man has a release clause of €700m in his contract, that will expire in 2022, and AS mentions Real will not sell him for anything less than €100m.
