Despite starring one of the longest transfer sagas of the summer, it seems Barcelona have still not given up on signing Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool.

The Catalan side may have been stopped due to the high figures demanded by Liverpool, but according to reports from Brazil, a new attempt is already being planned.

Outlet UOL was one of the Brazilian outlets who were on the money during the summer negotiations, so it’s a pretty reliable source to believe in.

They claim Barcelona have already told Coutinho’s staff he’s still on their agenda, although there’s no hurry to get him now. The club would be preparing to resume the negotiations with Liverpool only in July 2018.

That’s a pretty long term plan, so Barça should be very confident of the player’s word to wait until then. Maybe they will need to make some sales first and then spend it all on the Liverpool midfielder.
