The European transfer window is over, and since the most expected move of the summer did not happen, there’s a lot of frustration going around.
The Brazilian press brings two interesting stories about Neymar today. One of them, from UOL, talks about how upset the player is about not returning to Barcelona.
It’s claimed the star was pretty confident once Barça presented their offer to PSG. He had already told his close friends to ‘pack their bags’ so they could go back to Catalonia.
UOL says the player has gone through a ‘tough weekend’, and the French side are actually relieved the transfer window was closed along with the start of the international break, so Neymar can recover mentally with the national team.
Journalist Jorge Nicola also published some details of the process. He quotes an agent who had direct contact with the PSG board.
“Nasser had already warned everyone at the club and Neymar himself that he would not let him go”, Jorge Nicola was told.
“Nasser’s dream was to make Neymar run around the field until the contract was over. He is angry with Neymar because PSG have done everything for him, accepting a salary of €91.5 million, affording a series of demands and stewardships. And, in exchange, Neymar forced to leave the club”.
It’s claimed that PSG’s will was to leave Neymar out of the squad, but he’s far too expensive for that.
