If there’s something we’ve all learned from Neymar’s moves to Barcelona and then PSG, it’s not to underestimate the Brazilian international and his father when it comes to transfer manoeuvres.
After controversial moves when leaving Santos and Barcelona, there’s no reason to think the player will spend the rest of his career at Paris Saint Germain, especially with so much speculation going on lately.
There’s been plenty of news in France and Spain saying Real Madrid are still keen on signing Neymar, and now it’s time for the Brazilian press to claim the player actually has an agreement with PSG allowing his move to the Galacticos.
According to Goal Brasil this Thursday, Neymar has a promise from the PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi that he can be sol to Real Madrid in case he wins the Champions League for the French club.
Goal claims Neymar isn’t unhappy in France, but still aims to be a ‘reference’ at Real Madrid, and continued to tell this to people close to him in the past few weeks.
The player’s apparent wish to play for the Spanish club has always hung around. He was actually close to making the move twice: in 2006, when he left Santos to have trials in Spain, but chose to return to Brazil; and then in 2013, when Real Madrid came close to signing him, but Barcelona ended up winning the race.
As reported by Goal, Neymar does not have a release clause at PSG. So since the president’s word is so important in a negotiation, the player better fullfil his part of the agreement and win the Champions League for them.
