Reports continue to emerge from Brazil saying Liverpool are one of the main candidates to sign Vasco da Gama star Talles Magno.
Website Esporte News Mundo writes today that there’s currently a ‘war’ between European clubs to see who can sign the 18-year-old.
According to the report, Liverpool have competition from Bayer Leverkusen, Benfica, Juventus, Lazio, Roma and Sevilla. The report states Jurgen Klopp’s side have an ‘enormous advantage’ in the race, although there’s no definitive reason given for that.
It’s said there’s a plan building in England for the youngster’s transfer. That’s being handled by agent Giuliano Bertolucci, who’s experienced in negotiating deals for Brazilians.
Officials from Barcelona, Chelsea, Milan, Paris Saint-Germain, PSV Eindhoven and Real Madrid also made contact, and despite arriving ‘late’, they still try to have a chance.
Vasco da Gama’s intention is reportedly to let Talles Magno go for €30m, but people close to the club’s president are trying to convince him to sell the player for €20m.
Esporte News Mundo isn’t among the biggest websites in Brazil, so it’s best to be careful before believing every aspect of the story without question. However, Liverpool’s interest in Talles Magno has been doing the rounds in the local Brazilian media for a while now.
