Jim Solbakken is the new agent of AFC Bournemouth striker Joshua King and this has been confirmed by the representative on his official Instagram page.
The 28-year-old was with Solbakken until 2017 and after parting ways with him then, the Norway international was represented by Chris Welbeck, brother of Danny Welbeck. He has now reunited with his former agent.
TV2 in Norway decided to get in touch the Cherries player’s new representative, but Solbakken did not respond to their request.
Reports emerging from England have suggested Manchester United are one of the clubs interested in the 28-year-old, after failing to land him in January.
According to TV2, King’s decision to reunite with Solbakken will not calm the rumours around his future and it could also be taken as a sign the frontman expects ‘something to happen’ in the summer.
Former Norway footballer Jesper Mathisen is a football expert with TV2 and he is of the belief King could leave Eddie Howe’s side in the upcoming window.
“If King changes agent, it is a sign that he expects something to happen. Changing agents can of course be interpreted as King’s desire for a transfer. If he was happy, he wouldn’t have changed agents. So, he is probably dissatisfied that he is not at a bigger club already,” Mathisen said.
Mathisen stressed his representative’s excellent relationship with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could help him join United after a failed attempt in the winter market.
“There is no doubt that Solbakken has a very strong relationship with Ole Gunnar Solskjær. Of course, it could be that a transfer can be made again this summer, as it was in January,” he explained.
