Despite being one of the few players many Marseille fans were hoping might be staying, it seems Georges-Kevin Nkoudou could be on the move this summer.
Bought for a measly €1.5m last summer from Nantes, the 23-year-old surprised everybody by quickly becoming one of the clubs most exciting players down that left hand side.
Having fully balanced their books thanks to the £33m sale of Michy Batshuayi to Chelsea, the French club aren’t in a desperate need to sell anymore players, unless, of course, they see it as an opportunity to sell one player to bring in two or three.
This is exactly what could be happening with Nkoudou, as Bournemouth are reported by RMC Sport, via the very reliable Mohamed Bouhafsi, to have made a €13m (£11m) offer for the player, with further interest from Hamburg in Germany.
This comes on the same day reports in England started circulating Eddie Howe’s club had had a £15m offer accepted by Liverpool for Jordon Ibe.
It seems Bournemouth are in desperate need for a winger, and are currently placing bids left, right and centre to see who wants to sell and who wants to come.
The bid for Ibe has been accepted, the one for Nkoudou hasn’t… yet.
It’ll be interesting to see who they end up getting.
