Now that West Brom have been relegated from the Premier League, they can officially be ruled out from a lot of transfer rumours that have been circulating over the past few months.
That includes their alleged interest in Troyes winger Samuel Grandsir, whom Le10 Sport previously reported the Baggies were keen on.
According to Mercato365 on Wednesday, however, two more sides are supposedly in the race to sign the 21-year-old, and those are Newcastle and Bournemouth.
The Magpies were also suggested by Le10 as an interested party, even going as far as claiming they offered €13m for the forward back in January.
That was turned down by the Ligue 1 club, who weren’t exactly thrilled at the idea of losing their key player in the middle of their relegation battle, but this summer is a different story.
In fact, Mercato365 state a yet to be named Premier League side is ready to put €15m on the table, with the French website throwing the Cherries into the mix.
Monaco and Nice are also said to be lurking, and it will be interesting to see what the 21-year-old decides to do.
Will he take the money potentially offered by Rafa Benitez’s and Eddie Howe’s sides, or will he want to stay in France and continue to develop in a familiar league a bit longer before making the leap across the Channel?
