Things continue to look favourable for Manchester City in the chase for the São Paulo defender Éder Militão.
With Pep Guardiola’s side expecting to get him on a bargain because of his contractual situation, the player’s agents seem to be playing the same game in Brazil.
As reported by UOL this Wednesday, Militao’s staff are not accepting São Paulo’s offers for a renewal, and are likely to continue that way until his contract expires in January.
The situation is putting a lot of pressure on the Brazilian club, who are already considering to negotiate the player in the summer market in order not to lose him on a free at the end of his contract.
That comes as good news for Manchester City, whose chase has been reported by both the Brazilian and the English media.
With claims saying the Premier League champions are ready to offer €10m for the player, that should be more than enough for São Paulo to let him go in the summer window.
And that would avoid a bigger competition in January.
