Last week, surprising claims from the French media said Arsenal have made the first moves for the signing of Real Madrid star Eden Hazard.

It was reported Mikel Arteta’s side are one of the clubs who’ve been in contact for the 31-year-old, as despite his wish of staying at the Santiago Bernabeu, the Galacticos would actually be more interested in letting him go.

Now in an update from Fichajes, it’s once again pointed out that Hazard is likely to leave the La Liga giants this summer, if the Spanish club get their way.

Real Madrid were beaten 4-0 by Barcelona at home on Sunday. And despite Carlo Ancelotti’s urge for alternatives in the team, he did not give the Belgian a single minute on the pitch.

That’s why Fichajes points out the player is ‘increasingly further back’ in the ‘rotation list’, with the club still to find a bidder who will take him this summer. They say a goodbye for him will ‘be sought’.

Hazard, who only has one goal and two assists in 22 appearances for Real Madrid this season, was signed by them for over €100m. Now it seems it’s up to Arsenal or other interested sides to make a convincing bid.
