A potential big swap between Chelsea and Real Madrid is today reported by the Spanish media.

Outlet Fichajes writes about a ‘bombshell’ deal between Blues and Galacticos which could involve Reece James and Federico Valverde.

The report claims this possibility emerged ‘in recent days’, and the swap could take place next summer.

It’s said it’s ‘no secret’ that Real Madrid are looking for a right-back, and after missing out on Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold, signing Reece James from Chelsea is again an alternative.

The chance of a swap is because it’s stated the Blues wouldn’t be interested in money to let the Englishman go, as they’d rather make an exchange to land Valverde.

Fichajes writes that the Real Madrid midfielder has been Maurio Pochettino’s desire ‘since his arrival’ at Stamford Bridge this summer.

The problem is that the La Liga giants don’t seem very keen on that scenario. Both the club and the player himself want him to stay at the Santiago Bernabeu, where he’s one of Carlo Ancelotti’s ‘key pieces’.

So if Chelsea really want him signed, it will take some hard convincing work to make the transfer possible.
