Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is on his way out of Borussia Dortmund, that’s the impression Bild give in an article published on Monday evening.
After being suspended by the club for the third time in little over a year, Aubameyang has few friends left at BVB and is pushing for the exit.
The striker has asked to leave Dortmund, with Bild saying his first request came on December 20th before the match against Bayern, and it’s something which has been repeated since. When getting a negative answer from those in charge at the club, it’s stated the striker suddenly said he was injured and flew home.
According to Bild’s own information, Arsenal are now preparing a €65m offer for the player. It’s suggested Olivier Giroud could be involved in a deal, with Bild putting the Arsenal striker’s value at €20m.
There’s building bad feeling toward the player because of his disrespect towards Dortmund, and if he goes to Arsenal he won’t be waved off fondly.
The German newspaper even state: ‘By now everyone knows – Auba is more of a soulless footballing mercenary.’
It’s now ‘difficult to imagine’ Aubameyang staying at Dortmund beyond the end of this month, and Bild say if his Arsenal transfer collapses, then he’ll only be left with the China option.
