According to a claim in the Turkish media, Besiktas are looking to sign Manchester United attacker Antony during the next transfer window.
Besiktas boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst is looking to bring in experienced players in January and in recent days they’ve also been linked with Arsenal midfielder Jorginho.
Milliyet today report Besiktas are accelerating their efforts to recruit new players in the new year and have identified the Manchester United player as a possibility.
It’s claimed the Istanbul club have included the Brazilian in their wish list and are lining up a loan offer for the 24-year-old.
Antony’s future looks uncertain and he’s struggled to get playing time with the Premier League side this season. It’s not known if the winger is in Ruben Amorim’s plans and Besiktas are looking to take advantage of the player’s situation at Old Trafford.
Antony has made just five appearances for Manchester United this season after falling out of favour with former Red Devils manager Erik ten Hag and didn’t feature under interim boss Ruud van Nistelrooy.
He’s contracted to the English side until June 2027, with the option of another season.
