It looks like agent Bernardo Silva is working hard at the Estoril Open in Portugal this Tuesday.
As the Manchester City midfielder pays a visit to the tennis tournament in his home country, he continues to tease with players who have been linked to the Premier League side.
After reports that Pep Guardiola’s side are making a bid for Sporting’s Bruno Fernandes today, Bernardo was pictured with him, and praised the player’s skills.
Now it turns out that when interviewed by the local media, Bernardo Silva has also claimed he would like Manchester City to sign several Benfica players.
Quoted by Sol, Bernardo Silva has named four players from the Eagles who he would bring to the Premier League side.
“I would really enjoy playing against Benfica in the Champions League. I’s very good the bet that Benfica has made on youngsters, from Ferro, João Felix, Florentino, to Jota, who has played less. I wish I could take the youngsters from Benfica’s academy to Manchester. They are all very good.”
Manchester City have been linked to three out of the four: João Félix, Florentino and Ferro.
The club’s approach for Ferro was reported back in March. Regarding Florentino and Félix, the links continue to be out every week.
Now we wonder if Bernardo knows something or if Manchester City are the kind of club who get linked to every big talent in Portugal.
We’re tempted to go with the second option.
