Tottenham defender Davinson Sánchez would be a ‘good option’ for Barcelona or Real Madrid this summer if they fail to get other targets.

That’s according to El Desmarque, who say the Colombian could be an alternative to Eric García and David Alaba if they fail to make moves to the Nou Camp or Bernabeu this summer.

Sánchez reportedly heads up a list of players that Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho is looking to get rid of this summer as he plans a complete overhaul of his squad.

The Colombian has been one of the more disappointing performers under the Portuguese, failing once again to realise the potential he showed at Ajax and which sparked a €42m move to Spurs four years ago.

That means the club are now keen to move him on, and El Desmarque argue that he could be a good option for the Spanish giants.

They’re both looking to improve their defences this summer and already have deals for Alaba and García reportedly lined up.

Should they fail for whatever reason, though, El Desmarque argue Sánchez could be an ideal target for them to look at.

Now, there is no suggestion that either Real Madrid or Barcelona are interested or anything of that nature; El Desmarque are simply presenting him as a potential option come the summer.

If you see that rumour come up in the coming months, though, you know it probably started right here.
