It appears that everyone is in agreement regarding the transfer of Nahitan Nández to Leeds United.
Well, we say everyone, but it’s mostly La Nuova Sardegna doing the brunt of the work, while others, like Corriere dello Sport, agree with them.
The former of the two were adamant the deal sending the midfielder to Elland Road was ‘in the pipeline’, with it all ‘one step away’, and the latter’s information is very similar.
They state that Nández is getting ‘closer and closer’ to Leeds, with the transfer fee being the stumbling block in the negotiations.
They believe Cagliari’s president, Tommaso Giulini, wants the €36m clause paid in one go, while the Premier League want it ‘deferred in two payments’.
That’s ‘on account of the optimal relationship that exist between the two sides’, but much like La Nuova Sardegna, whose figures are a tad different, the general consensus is that this is very much on the right track, and Marcelo Bielsa could soon be getting his man.
