Everton’s ability to offer more money could help them tempt Noussair Mazraoui from Ajax next summer.
That’s according to Kenneth Perez, who believes the Moroccan right-back could be tempted by the superior money on offer in the Premier League.
Mazraoui is out of contract at Ajax in the summer, and at this moment in time, the chances of an extension being signed are diminishing.
He has subsequently been linked with a move away, particularly in January, when he is free to talk to clubs in Europe about a free transfer next summer.
Ajax could also look to sell for a reduced price at that point, rather than losing him on a free transfer in the summer.
Everton have not been named as suitors but would surely be interested, given their desperate need to find a replacement for Seamus Coleman.
“I would advise him to re-sign with Ajax. Another club will get him now without any risk,” Voetbal Primeur report him saying.
“After all, if it doesn’t quite work out, then you’ve got him on a transfer-free deal.
“If a club is done with him after six months or a year, they can sell him for a few million. But if you are bought for twenty or thirty million euros, then it is more likely that they really have a plan with you.
“Then you have to disappoint if you don’t want to get into the first team. And then you also earn about the same.
“If you sign with Everton instead of Ajax, you get a lot more. Let’s say Ajax want to go maybe up to 1.5 million euros. If he can sign with Everton on a transitional basis and he gets four million, that’s attractive. It’s euro signs.”
