Everton could make a move for Lazio star Joaquin Correa once they’ve managed to move James Rodriguez out of the club.
That’s according to Corriere Dello Sport, who cover the situation around the Argentine today amid continued rumours regarding his future.
They say that Lazio are ready to sell Correa so that they can raise funds and get new players into the club with them.
Getting rid of the forward is considered one of the club’s priorities as, despite them being keen to keep him, he’s made it clear since the beginning of the summer that he wants to go.
There have been no moves for him as yet, and the club are waiting for Inter Milan and Everton, his two main suitors, to make formal bids.
According to the newspaper, the Toffees are about to sell James Rodriguez to Atlético Madrid, and when they complete that deal, they could ‘dive on’ Correa.
Everton are not the only English side interested, though, with Arsenal and Tottenham both having shown an interest as well.
Who moves for him remains to be seen, but Lazio are hoping to make at least €30-35m from a sale, with the remaining days of the window to be ‘decisive’ in finding out whether they can.
