A couple of surprising claims from the Italian media today say that Manchester City have now turned their attention into Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic.

Following the club’s difficulty in finding a deal for the signing of Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane, Pep Guardiola’s side are said to be now chasing the Serbia international.

The first to talk about the chase was Rai Sport (via Tutto Mercato Web). They say a ‘very important offer’ is about to be made.

Even though Fiorentina are hopeful of agreeing a new contract with the player, it’s said the money on the table could end up convincing the Serie A side of selling him.

Now Fiorenze Viola features a story claiming that Manchester City decided to join the race and make an offer of €80m, including the up front payment and easily achievable bonuses.

It’s said the club see Vlahovic as a ‘substitute for Kane’.

Fiorentina are claimed to be ‘waiting for the offer’, as these are ‘decisive hours’ for the future of the 21-year-old.
