Werder Bremen new signing Felix Beijmo has told the Swedish media moving to the Bundesliga suits him and his partner.
Beijmo was also linked with a move to Wolverhampton Wanderers, but the chance to live in Germany seems to have had an influence on his decision to join Werder Bremen.
Speaking to Fotbol Direkt, Beijmo was asked about living in Bremen after revealing his girlfriend had Googled Wolverhampton only to find it was ranked as a ‘boring city’: “Yes, there is a nice river that goes through the city so it feels absolutely better.
“Bremen is close to other major cities as well, and it is also in northern Germany so it’s not that far from home. It feels clearly better both for me and my girlfriend.”
Beijmo was linked with Wolves in the last window and despite talks with the Premier League club a deal never happened.
Reports in the past week suggested Wolves were interested in the defender, but Werder Bremen have managed to get a deal done for the 20 year old.
The Swede has signed a four year contract with the German club.
