Lucas Moura was the man of the match in Tottenham Hotspur’s latest 3-0 victory over Manchester United, finding the back of the net twice after Harry Kane gave the north London club a lead from a corner in the second half.
Mauricio Pochettino has started the forward in all three league games and the former Paris Saint-Germain man has repaid his manager’s faith by scoring three goals in the process.
He moved to England earlier in January after struggling for a place in the French capital club’s first XI.
The style of play in the Ligue 1 is different to that of the Premier League and the attacker laughed it off saying it’s not easy for Brazilians to adapt to the physicality of the English league.
Spurs are one of the four clubs who have won their first three fixtures, and Moura has warned there is more to come as he wants himself and the club to extend their good start to the campaign.
“We did a very good pre-season, we worked very hard and it’s very important to start like this… Here in England, it’s a very dynamic football, we run a lot, sometimes it’s not easy for a Brazilian (laughs). It must continue like this. This is only the beginning,” Moura told RMC Sport.
