A couple of days ago we covered claims from Spain of Barcelona’s interest in Rodrygo.
The Santos youngster has been dubbed the ‘new Neymar’ and Barcelona are said to be seriously interested in signing the player.
They’re not the only ones, and Catalan newspaper Sport, who carried the Rodrygo interest on their front page, stated there’d been ‘verified’ approaches from Liverpool and Manchester United for the player.
Sport’s Sunday edition carries more Rodrygo claims. In a big story explaining what a thorough professional the youngster is, and how he avoids the limelight rather than chases it, it’s stated Liverpool, and Barca, have already ‘knocked on the door’ for the 17 year old.
Manchester United don’t get a mention this time, which sounds good for the interest from Anfield.
It’s pointed out that since Rodrygo signed for Santos at the age of 11 there’s not been one case of ill discipline with the player at all.
His father was a professional footballer and has brought his son up with the right lifestyle and attitude.
Of course, the Catalan media believe Barcelona would beat Liverpool or anyone in a race for the player, but then they would say that.
