Fabián Ruiz has been on the radar of Barcelona, Real Madrid and Manchester City for some time now.
Mundo Deportivo now explains the La Liga winners are ‘interested’ in the midfielder and further adds the recent troubles at the Naples club could help Ernesto Valverde’s side sign him.
Earlier this week, Napoli sacked Carlo Ancelotti after he guided them to the Champions League knockout stages, and replaced him with Gennaro Gattuso.
Barcelona maintain their intention to present a formal offer for the 23-year-old. However, there has been no progress on this case in recent weeks.
Napoli, on the other hand, are trying to extend Fabián’s contract to shield him from potential suitors, but the player hasn’t been keen on a renewal.
Real Madrid have also included Fabián on their list of transfer targets and Florentino Pérez has already informed Napoli about his side’s desire to sign the former Real Betis man.
The Serie A side have slapped an unrealistic valuation of €180m on the player and if they fail to convince Fabián to sign a new deal, there’s chance of his price tag dropping drastically.
