Having come up through the ranks of Atalanta’s youth system, Roberto Piccoli made his senior debut for the Italian club at the end of last season.

However, the 18-year-old has not made any appearances for the Serie A side’s first team this season, even though he was included in the squad for four league matches.

The forward has spent time with the Italian club’s youth side and has managed 12 goals and an assist in 14 appearances in all competitions, including a goal in each of the two matches against Manchester City in the UEFA Youth League.

According to Calciomercato, the highly rated youngster’s performances in the UEFA Youth League have ‘stunned everyone’. He has six goals in six appearances in that competition.

The report’s headline states ‘From Milan to [Pep] Guardiola: all are crazy for Piccoli’.

Within the report, it’s explained scouts from various European clubs have set their sights on the teenager. Milan tried signing Piccoli, but they will face ‘danger’ from Guardiola’s Manchester City for his signature.
