Middlesbrough are reportedly close on signing Adama Traoré from Aston Villa.
According to Sport, the talks between the clubs are well advanced and the deal should be sealed in the next few hours.
The Catalan outlet says that Barcelona still had a buy-back clause for the player, who signed for Aston Villa last summer for €10m.
But the Spanish winger struggled with injuries during the last season and only made 10 appearances in Aston Villa’s disappointing Premier League campaign which led them to relegation.
Sport have no information on how much Boro are paying for the transfer. Traoré was very highly rated when coming through the Barcelona ranks, and Aston Villa faced competition when signing him.
