Over the past few weeks, Neymar has been linked with a return to Barcelona, two years after he left Camp Nou for Paris Saint-Germain for a world-record fee of €222m.

On Monday, PSG president Nasser al-Khelaïfi told France Football nobody forced the forward to join the Ligue 1 winners and stressed he wants only those players who are “willing to give everything to defend the honour of the jersey and to join the club project.”

‘Operation Neymar’ is splashed on the front page of Tuesday’s edition of Mundo Deportivo,

For the La Liga winners to re-sign the 27-year-old, there are certain conditions that need to be fulfilled, even though they believed Al-Khelaifi has opened the door for the Brazilian to leave Parc des Princes.

It’s stated the ‘reaction of FC Barcelona in the Neymar case is to be on the lookout as long as the PSG door does not open fully, and then listen to their coaches’.

The player is looking for a move away from the club in the summer and his president would also be willing to allow the star return to Barca.

Should Neymar be offered to Barcelona, then their technical leaders must take a decision and if they give the go ahead for his signing, other criteria must be met for the deal to take shape.

Neymar earns €30m per season at PSG and will have to take a pay cut to return to his former club, because Ernesto Valverde’s side will not be able to pay such high wages.

In addition to this, the attacker must withdraw the lawsuit he filed against Barcelona in regards to bonus payments.

Another condition is that PSG must be interested in signing a player from Barcelona and that player must also be keen on making a switch to Paris.

Should this happen, then they’d be used to try and bring the Neymar cost down.

The operation to bring Neymar back to Barca remains complicated, but is ‘not impossible’.
