Earlier this month, Mundo Deportivo reported that Neymar is open to the idea of returning to Barcelona, a year after he left them for Paris Saint-Germain.
The Blaugrana president, Josep María Bartomeu, ruled out the possibility of the Brazil international rejoining the club, but that hasn’t stopped him from being linked with the La Liga winners.
Friday’s edition of Mundo Deportivo once again reiterates how the forward misses the Catalan club’s football and training with their stars.
When leaving the Spanish champions, he thought it would improve his chances of becoming a ‘king’, but things have not gone as per his plans since moving to Parc des Princes.
The 26-year-old’s first option is to re-sign for his former club and it’s claimed he already has the approval of the Barca dressing room, who views him as Lionel Messi’s successor and not Kylian Mbappe.
A few Barcelona leaders have their reservations in bringing the South American star back to the club.
Mundo suggests the transfer operation for Neymar would only be possible if they include Ousmane Dembele as part of the deal. Should this happen, it would give the Frenchman an opportunity to reunite with Mbappe at PSG.
Former striker Ronaldo also wanted to leave Inter Milan and rejoin Barcelona in 2002, but the club turned down the opportunity and he made a switch to Real Madrid.
