Celta Vigo are currently 11th in La Liga, with pretty much nothing to fight for on that front. However, they do have a couple of rather important semi-finals against Manchester United coming up.
The Europa League is just as important to Celta Vigo as it is to Manchester United, and Spanish newspaper Marca believe that will show in the team which takes to the pitch against Athletic Club Bilbao. It will be ‘Celta B’.
Manager Eduardo Berizzo is expected to make ‘many rotations’ for the home match, which Marca of course believe will be a boost to Athletic’s chances of winning.
Jose Mourinho will still hope to finish in the Premier League’s top four, so can’t make as many changes as the Spanish club. Injuries to key Manchester United players will also have an impact upon the manager’s selection.
Celta Vigo have the luxury of resting who they want, not too concerned about what that results in… Jose Mourinho and Manchester United do not.
That said, the Premier League club have much better finances than Celta Vigo and a much bigger, and better, squad.
